They let us haul on the halyards to get the sails up, which broke the ice with everyone on board instantly. Then it's just quiet, wind and the sun going down behind the Olympics.

What You'll Experience
A traditional sailing boat rather than a motor launch: the wind decides the direction, and guests can help raise the sails or take a turn steering the ship.
The trip is timed for the colours over the Olympic Mountain ranges across Puget Sound, out where the horizon is open water.
Downtown Seattle, the Space Needle and Smith Tower from the water — and on clear days, Mount Rainier's snowy peak behind them.
Cider, beer, wine, champagne, soda and water are available to buy from the bar as you sail. Food and drinks are not included in the ticket.

Traveler Reviews
What travelers tell us after taking the Seattle Sunset Boat Tour.
Dress in layers. It was warm on the pier and properly cold out on the sound, and the people who'd brought a jacket had a much better time of the last half hour.
Rainier was out, which does not happen often, and the light on the way back in with the city lit up was worth the ticket on its own. The bar on board is a nice touch.
